Hello everyone. Well my rooster has this bump in between his toes and on top of his foot. It is soft, and the skin appears red/orange in the center. As you can see from the pic his toes curl in and he has a bit of an awkward gait. The pic is the best I could get, he hates getting his photo taken and did not like me pointing the camera at him. He is 1 yr old. In great health otherwise. I haven't looked at the underside of his feet as he HATES being held or handled and screams and carries on.

How do I proceed? Do I open it up and clean it? My first impulse is to drain and clean but, maybe I'm wrong. Thanks for any help.

x2 It looks like bumblefoot to me. Peaches Lee: Type "bumblefoot" in the search box and you'll see a wealth of info on how to treat it.
