Hello all! We got our first pair of hens (Plymouth Barred Rocks) last summer from a friend who was downsizing, along with her chicken tractor and bunch of other goodies. We love getting almost a dozen fresh eggs year-round.

We then added a duck in fall 2017 that came free to us from a neighbor. We're not sure what breed he is (see below in case you can help ID!). We hope to add a couple hens of the same breed and our daughter can't wait to get ducklings. :D We're hoping to add a couple turkeys this year also for meat.

We've learned a lot from this site. Thanks to everyone who contributes. See you on the forums!

    Am I an Ancona?

:welcome Hello and welcome to our flock. I am glad to see you. Pull up a chair and stay a while. I am sure one of our members can help you I.D the duck. My best guess is Ancona, but I am by no means an expert.
