What is up with my toms? They inflate like balloons! I can press on their chests and make them belch, and then they immediately start to swallow air to replace the belched up air, I think they blow up their croups, why?

They fill up with air to make themselves look bigger. They often do it when struting, and it gives their breast a larger apperance.

yep, both replies are on the spot with this, unless he look ill or any problems, it's just tom behavior.
They are arrogant birds, have to be the biggest and baddest on the farm, LOL
