So I culled one of my Barbezieux roos today and when I cleaned him out I noticed these white spots and dark areas on his liver. I'm a bit puzzled by this because he appeared to be healthy, eating and drinking fine (and bullying the rest of the flock in his spare time šŸ™„). 6 months old give or take.

Anyway, all the other organs appeared to be perfectly normal.. heart, lungs, gizzard, intestines.. I didn't notice any other abnormalities. Any ideas what this is and what to do for the rest of the flock, if anything? They all seem to be in good shape.

@casportpony would probably know.

How old was bird?
What all and how exactly were you feeding?
About 6 months old.. the flock is on medicated starter grower. Occasionally I give them some scratch mix. They have a hanging style feeder that sits on the ground under the bottom of the coop so it doesn't get wet (the coop floor is high enough off the ground they can run around under it). They're not free range but have a large enclosed run

The light spots could be granulomas from a possible histoplasmosis (fungus) or a slighter possibility of cancer, but hard to know for sure without a state poultry pathologist.
I didn't even think about the state lab! I can call them tomorrow and ask if they can run tests on it

There are a lot of things that can affect the liver. Marek's, lymphoid leukosis, toxins, etc. If you can get tests run that would be the best bet for identifying it. Below is a picture of livers, left is suspected lymphoid leukosis, right is suspected Marek's:
