I have some chickens that I got from my neighbor. I have them 1-2 per cardboard box. They will be butchered tomorrow morning. Should I just leave them in the boxes overnight? I could make a makeshift pen for them within my chicken run, but I hate to just let them run with my other birds as I do not want them possibly exposing my other birds to diseases and mites, etc.

Should I just leave them? Or is that cruel?

That should be ok as long as they are in the shade and out of rain and have water and food available.
If you could make a temp are for them though that would be better. You must be able to find an area to put them with out having to put them with your flock.
