Pretty sure these two are male. Both about 4-5 weeks. The silver laced Cochin has HUGE feet and is about 2-3x the size of the other Cochin.

The buttercup I’m 95% sure is a roo slower to feather and already getting red around the face.

I know next to nothing about Buttercups. However, there is virtually no color to the comb. Though it's fairly large.

The Cochin looks like a pullet for now. Post updated pics in 3 weeks. Any boys should have more color by then.
I agree but I am thinking cockerel for the Buttercup, but then again, I also have no experience. The Cochin is not giving super obvious signs of being a cockerel yet :)

Yes the Cochin I’m really not sure but it’s HUGE ! I will see in a few weeks. The buttercup I agree likely cockerel . I have 1 rooster 2 hens and 2-3 pullets so not a good ratio! I will get enough ladies so I can keep one more cockerel but if I end up with 3 rooster one is gonna have to go !

In your other thread, https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/buttercup-rooster-cochin-rooster.1440320/ I responded with pics of male buttercups. Yours is probably a male.
yes I somehow double posted but the second thread got deleted before I saw your reply! If I want to keep my adult rooster and this buttercup cockerel how many more pullets should I get I currently only have 5 ladies but I’m on several acres and can build a second coop if needed.

anyone have any suggestions for what breeds to put with the buttercup? Thinking I’ll put all my large fowl with my Amerucana and start a secondary flock of smaller breeds .... need something good at free ranging.

Here are the pics. Strange that the moderator didn't merge the two threads, which they can do.
