Hi all,

I have a clutch of eight 4-day old button quail chicks. They are in a brooder and have their mom with them.

Today I was cleaning their brooder and noticed 2 types of concerning droppings:
1) dark poops
2) diarrhea

I'm very worried about any disease spreading with these babies, as they are pets and I'm already attached.

They are currently in the brooder at about 95 degrees on the warm side. They drink water with a bit of nutridrench and ACV mixed in, and they eat Dumar Gamebird Starter Crumbles. I change their floor (paper towels on top of puppy pads) 1-2 times per day. They have definitely been engaging in a bit of poop-eating anyway.

For the darker poops, is that just intestinal shed (does that happen this early on?) or should I worry about coccidiosis?
For the diarrhea, how should I treat it? How concerned should I be since they're so young? Any advice helps, I'm very worried about the babies. Thank you!

No one seems particularly sluggish so I can't isolate who it is either.

Please see below for pictures of the droppings.
