Button quail... do males and females BOTH make this sound?

    Here's a video of the SOUND my young'ns are making (they're 2 1/2 weeks or so old)... Obviously ignore the coturnitx quail. It's not my video, I just snagged it from youtube haha



    Do both sexes make that call?

    Both genders can make that sound but more prominently males. Males do a pew pew pew while females do a one time pew or a pew pew...males do it three times usually...just calling a mate.

    No. Button Quail are completely different.

    They can, but it's usually the males doing the three syllable call along with the wind sounds.
