Button quail male or female šŸ¤”?

He/she will vr four weeks old in two days he / she has started trying to pluck the coturnix anubis feathers who is 3weeks old today who i think is male here are pics of the button quail which has started getting red does that mean male ?

Still a little early to be sure. Red and white feathers can be more misleading, so black and blue are the best to look out for. They generally take about 4-5 weeks to tell (For feather-sexable varieties), but I had one who was an obvious male at a week and a half old! On the other hand though, his brother (or sister?) didn't start getting male colouring until seven months old!
 
Too bad, got some lovely pics out of her/him though guess ill close this post down for a few weeks
