Buying chicks near Hamilton ONT

I'm a first-timer and currently have three little week-old RI red/Columbian rock crosses that we bought at Hamilton Country Depot, which source their chicks from Frey's Hatchery. (We just bought whatever chicks were coming in--not finicky about breeds-- since we were new to this and eager to just just started. Plus we figured the RI red genes would hopefully make the chickens somewhat docile and personable.)

Anyway, now that we've gotten started, I want to get 2 or 3 Buttercups or Americanas later this spring or summer once these girls are grown. Does anyone know if there's a hatchery or breeder out this way (Southwestern Ontario) who has Buttercups or Ameraucanas (either/or/both!), and will sell sexed chicks in such a tiny quantity?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

Ameraucanas can be found in a few canadian hatcheries like genetic preservation(Eric Rivard) and I believe performance poultry. Your problem is going to be quantity.

Ever considered hatching eggs?

No, I hadn't really thought of that! Can the chicks be sexed in the egg? (Sorry if this is a completely insane question.) I can't have a rooster in the city.

I'll try looking into those places you mentioned. Thanks!
