BYC Dictionary

BYC should put a dictionary on here for us newer memebers that don't know what certain things mean. For instance, why is there a pic of a lock by some posts? What is meant by "bumping" something and is a "thread" a post?

The lock means the topic/thread has been closed and no more posts can be made to it.

bumping is when a post gets a reply just to bring it back up.

A thread is the whole series of posts. Example: you post a question and people reply=thread.
