I've known how to sew since I was very young. I've been a quilt-a-holic for around 16 or so years now, as well.

I have several tops finished (have been for a few years) and I'm working on getting them machine quilted by a local quilt store. I used to do all my quilting by hand, but time and "aging" have made me turn to having most of my quilts machine quilted.

I've got many more quilt designs in my head and hope to get them made into tops gradually. I have a very large fabric stash (can you say Fabri-holic??) Though it's not near what it has been in past years.

I also like to sew things for my family. I plan to do more of this now, too.

I'll post photos as some of my projects come to fruition.

I quilt, sew, embroider. I have a long arm quilting machine. I made my friend this apron when we butchered chickens this summer. I embroidered a rooster on it and had a cute saying on it. If i could figure out how to put pics on there I could show ya. And yes I can say fabric-holic, and batting-holic, and thread-holic. I just love quilting.[IMG]

She's sitting here watching TV while I surf BYC. I say "There's a Backyard Chicken Quilting Club". She says, "You just made that up."

Quote:Quilting and sewing here. Working on a Warm Wishes Chicken fabric quilt top tonight. Might have it ready to post pictures tomorrow, if I'm lucky and it is raining again tomorrow, so I can sew. I have at least 15 quilt tops done that need to have the backings done....love doing the tops, dislike the finishing of them. And refuse to pay to have them done by someone else.

Learned to sew by osmosis as my mother did tailoring when I was growing up. I thought needles on the floor were a normal hazard to avoid.

Here's a wall hanging that I thought I had a finished photo of...but now I see it is missing the pears that I appliqued in the four corners. Oh well at least it is done. [IMG][IMG]
