California Hatchery chicks that I ordered

    They arrived at post office yesterday morning. I was so excited to pick them up because I had to wait 2 months for them. After coming home and open the box. One had died and an hour later another died too. That night another one keeled over. The next morning another keeled over. I got home in the early afternoon an notice another one was not doing good. 5 out of the 15 are died now. Have sent them a total of 5 emails so far. Every time one died I would sent an email due their 24hr guarantee. No response so far. Will give a follow up if they respond. Is that normal for 1/3 of them to die? I just hope the rest of them are going to be ok.

    I don't know if that's normal but I'm interested to know how the sellers are dealing with it. Please update?

    It took 3 days for California Hatchery to reply. They resent a replacement order but did not ask me which breeds that I lost or how many. I then get a email that shipment has been sent. I pick them up this morning at post office. They sent me 4 chicks but I ended up losing 5. Not the ones that I lost. :(
    Now I got 7 of the same breed. Overall They responded in a timely manner. I wish the had ask me which ones I lost. Even if I can't identify. I could of gave a description.

    Well that's important to know. Did you complain? I know it's no fun to be a complainer but squeaky wheels and all that...

    I sent them an email this morning letting them know. Yes! I complained. I think it's important that people should let them know how to improve on how they do business. Especially when they are shipping out lives that effect peoples lives. I treasure all my pets like children. These are special . They give back in the most fabulous eggs!

    What a disappointment. I had ordered my chicks from them and they arrived safely, but they were terrible whenever I sent them messages. I hope they come through for you.

    Just wanted to give a follow up. The last email I sent a week ago with the complaint was never responded. That tells you a lot. [​IMG]
