Can a California quail be crossed with a Coturnix quail? I have heard a lot about Bob birds Bob white Coturnix cross but I have access to California quail.

Legend has it that a bobwhite has been crossed with a coturnix via artificial insemination, genetic modification or extreme deviance. But it is unlikely as the new world quails are not actually related to old world quails despite the simialar niche they inhabit. Anything claiming the contrary is "quail oil."
