    I got a new silkie from a friend and is wondering what sex she is. Here are some pictures:

    Looks girly to me. No streamers in the crest and no visible comb, combined with age I say pullet.

    I am NO expert but like mom2jedi says, no streamers, no comb, no wattles, i would say a girl!!!
    Saying that i have 5 silkies at the minute and i am palying the guessing game, lol!

    hold her by her neck ( still letting her breathe and not causing any pain) if her legs dangle or only move a little its a girl if it kicks and they wont stay straight it is a boy.
    this trick really works i use it to sex day old chicks to full grown chickens if i cant tell

    it is not a myth!!! i use it costantly to sex day old chicks and it works! it has never failed before!!!
