Came home to goslings hanging out of eggs

So I come home, go to check on my muscovy ducklings and se my goose eggs in the yard. With partially formed goslings hanging out of them. The veins were all looking good too

I dont even know what to do right now, these were my first goslings and something came into my pen , pulled them out of the nest and didnt even bother to eat them. Just crack the eggs open. I feel aweful. Sickened. I dont even know what to do right now. Worst part is the goslings looked lk ethey were still alive and looking at me

I dont know if it was a dog or cat but it tried to get my ducklings as well.

Awww, that's sad! I remember when I found a nest of killdeer eggs much in the same way you described. It really hurt to see the little chick inside them, too.

Yes, it is sad. I had a duck nest get attacked the night they hatched a couple years back. Whatever got into them in the night killed all 8 of the babies, and severed most of their heads but didn't eat any of them.

I kind of think it might have been a feral cat. I can't see any wild animal not eating at least part of the kill.
