Camping Chickens!!

    Ok. So had anyone else ever taken their chickens camping? I took two this week and they seemed to have a ball. They were in "bug heaven".[​IMG]

    That's a fantastic campsite, btw! Will you be using the same one throughout the summer, now?

    I'm not all that far. Let me know if you need some birds who've been extra good to go camping, and I'll be sure they get over there! [​IMG]

    We belong to a black powder shooting and reenactment club. Sierra Muzzle Loaders. It's a pre 1840 mountain man reenactment club, although we do more of a 1700 colonial thing. The man in the pic with the mule and the chicken is my DH, and the campsite is our permanent spot at the club site. I built the cage on the mule especially for that, but they sleep in a bigger cage I built and they laid eggs 3 out of 4 days. Here is a picture of where they sleep.
