My son just left the ER this week and tested positive for Campylobacter.
www.cdc.gov/nczved/.../campylobacter/
How he most likely contracted this was two days prior (perfect incubation time) he was playing in the chicken coop (he is 5) and I found an upside down frisbee full of chicken feed - and poop. Almost every bird can carry this and contact with Cat, cow, dog, and bird fecal matter was more than likely how he contracted it.
My chickens are going to find a new home but for others, me mindful.

I got it, but it wasn't from chickens. I went to a cookout the day before my symptoms showed up. You can get it from beef or other contaminated food.
