sorry if this the hundredth thread like this, i couldn’t find any addressing my specific circumstances. i have 7 10 week olds, one being a silkie bantam. they’re all big, hardy, and fully feathered out (actually started replacing feathers already) and they’ve been outside during the day in 55-80f weather since about 7 weeks. they’re in a large guinea pig cage as i’ve had some hiccups preventing me from starting on their baby coop, if i put some old towels over the top will they be good? or should i give them a cozy coop panel until the nights are a little warmer? tyia :)

How big is that guinea pig cage?
Is there any dangers of predators making their way in?

If they would be safe in there the temps are not an issue.
3 1/2’ x 20”. definitely safe, i have every door and attachment point secured with large zip ties and 2mm electrical tape, and they’re in my front yard with a smooth gapless 9’ tall fence. my cats stay out there at night and would flip out if a raccoon came around and i would definitely hear it.
