Can 6 week old chicks eat adult grit??

Hi all! I’m new to the forum, and am trying to figure out if it’s ok to feed my 6 week old chicks adult grit with probiotics. I hear you should feed them chick grit until they’re about 8 weeks old, but I can’t find any anywhere! Just wanting to see if it’s all good. Thanks in advance!

Depends how small the particles are.

They seem to have small and bigger pieces but the biggest pieces look like ones they would be able to swallow. I’ve seen them swallow bugs bigger than those grit pieces!

Yes, they can have any type of grit. They pick out what works for them..They just don't need Oyster shell. Generally they won't touch that anyways..If eating anything other than starter they need Grit too..

I put some out there for them and they are loving it, I did notice they picked through it to find a nice sized piece. It was pretty cute!
