can a 8mth chicken get coccidiosis ? if so what are the symptoms ?

I posted a topic a few days ago about my daughters OEGB WHeaton she has not been acting normal ...down tail feathers.. fluffed feathers.. not eating well , pale in the face, justs sits with her eyse closed most of the day ..no sound at ALL ! and her droppings are runny with some mucus ..I found 1 worm and treated her with wazine -17 ..but no change .. and I have not found any more worms and she has lost alot of weight ... you can feel her keel bone really bad !! I know this chicken and THIS IS NOT HER !! She only lets my daughter handle her .. and now she just lets anybody pick her up ... please can somebody help me !!!! Not really, by that age they are usually fairly immune to coccidia.

I've had a hen going thru a bad molt come down with cocci, I think it was because she was already so run down by molting. It's not very common though. If you've checked her over really well for mites/lice and you don't think she's laying internally or egg bound I'd be wondering about mereks....Was she vacinated for that?

Thanks Lemurchaser !!! Kittymomma ..she was given to my daughter and I don't think she was ! I have checked her for mites/lice she don't have any... she still is acting the same .. and she is just skin, feathers and bones ...we have her inside by herself and she is still tail feathers down , eyes closed still fluffed feathers ....BUT I am going to goggle "mereks" right now Could it be anything else ? .THANKS AGAIN !!
