Can a hen ever "Cockadoodle doo" when she is young?

I posted recently that my Barred Rock was "rooing" the other morning and a friend told me that his hen did this a couple of times and he thought it was a rooster. It turned out to be a hen though. Has anyone else had an experience like this? I don't want to be in denial [IMG] but I'm hoping she is a hen!

hens can crow but it is more likely you have a roo. you'll know for sure if she lays.
