Here is my question: I currently have 8 RIR's. I usually collect my eggs by noon and then at the end of the night around 9pm. Today at 11:30am I found 1 egg in one box and there were hens in the other two so I left them alone. Tonight, I collected 8 more eggs. I am positive there were no eggs in the boxes last night when I closed the coop up. Is it possible for one of the hens to have layed two eggs today?

Now that's productive! [IMG] I'm sure it's possible, especially if the timing was conveniently close for when you came to gather them. She must have just laid the second one.
