can adult chickens have baby food

    can my older chicken eat chick food he really likes it is it ok?

    Grown chickens can eat chick feed, however it can not be their main diet.

    They are fine to eat non-medicated starter or grower as long as they have an extra calcium source like oyster shell free choice at all times. I would not give medicated chick starter to adult birds.

    [​IMG] I think it would be better to keep him on adult feed - too much of the chick starter and he may not want to eat his regular food.

    i only give it to him/her once in a blue moon when i have extra in the very bottom of the bag

    I agree with the post immediately above - won't hurt them but don't over do it.
