A man gave me some grown muscovy ducks and they still haven't layed yet.
Does anyone know why?
Could they be too old to lay, or maybe will lay later in the spring.
not a perfect answer but most chickens don't lay past 2-3(high production) 4-5 (slower) but can live up to 10-15 years, I know ducks and geese can live longer but I don't know how long their laying years last for.
I finally got 2 eggs from them!
By the way - stress will shut down a duck's laying. Glad they are feeling a little more at home.
