Can anyone ID this found bird-seems like goose, duck?

    I have no idea. It seems fowl-like. We found it in the yard (5 acres).

    It looks like a young dove or pigeon.

    That looks an awful lot like a vulture chick to me. Especially with those nostrils....made for catching the whiff of remote carrion.

    I wish I knew but I do love it's expression in the first picture. It looks happy and serene. Hope you found out soon so you can feed it properly and/or turn it over to a wildlife rescue.

    I recommend taking to a wildlife rehabilitator.

    I really don't think it is a vulture but I could go with a dove. Maybe you could ask to have this thread moved to Pigeons and doves and change the thread title to something like What is this, is it a dove or pigeon?
