[IMG]https://www.backyardchickens.com/content/type/61/id/7813289/width/200/height/400]Hello! I have ordered 4 Orpingtons from my local farm and was under the impression I would receive buff Orpingtons. Being a first time chicken keeper I thought there was ONLY buff orpingtons but I got these gorgeous striped little babies and couldn't be happier. (The black birds are black Marans and eggers, referring to the lighter colored striped guys)
Can anyone identity them? Also if anyone wants to take a stab at their gender, go for it! They may be too young though.

I'll go with there were some Orpington at that farm and these are mixed birds.

I see the white feet on the black bird and white skin is their trait, as for the barred mix birds the do have buff heads...possible many generations of mixing.

So will they be striped as adult birds?

Those barred birds will be barred as adults. I'm think those are some cross of Barred Plymouth Rock and Buff Orpington.
