Hi, I posted a few weeks ago some pics of my two baby chooka's, but they were two young to sex by sight at the time.

Unfortunately in the last couple of days, a rough dog has gotten in and I've lost my entire flock. My handsome rooster Sarge was badly damaged as well and had to be take to the vet to be put down. I'm still reeling from this, what a god awful experience, my poor babies.

But i have the one chick left and have to make a decision about what to do with him/ her. Wondering if he/ she may be exhibiting something that might allow a sight sexing now. Now at 5.5 weeks. Real chirpy little chatterbox.

Really appreciate any thoughts. Right now he/ she is being an inside chicken with small stints in an outside grassy enclosure near my office window so I can keep a close eye on her. She has a mirror, so has a little mate but I'm sure if I want to keep him/ her and train or re-home and let her live a natural chookster life. TIA

Hopefully you can access the little video at the link belong s you can hear the chirping noise.

What a cutie! You said five and a half weeks old? With a crown that pronounced already, I’d lean towards cockerel.

Wrong answer lol :) - I was hoping as he hasn't gone red that it may be a she, but thought I may be pushing my luck. Just added a little video link in case it helps confirm further. Funniest little buggar. Thanks so much for your response.
