Can anyone tell me if this is a male or female 5 week old chick? Thank you in advance!

It is caused, as far as I can tell, by being too active after hatching. The bones in the toes don’t harden in the right position.

I think that it probably had to do with hatching conditions. If he walks fine, it isn’t a problem.
