Can anyone tell me if this is normal....

    My hen has a black cluster of bumps on her comb.... I'm trying to find out if this is something I should be worried about.... Picture attached...[​IMG]

    Could be dry blood from fighting.

    i agree it could be dry blood just watch it and see what happens if it is blood you should be able to wipe it with a damp paper towel and red come off.

    Wow that's a huge comb for a hen! Those look like scabs to me from fighting too. If you had not said it was a hen I would say its a rooster.

    I have 2 hens with large combs like that. One is a White Leghorn and the other is an Amber-Link

    That is so cool, my hens all have girlie combs.

    Thanks all...cleaned the blood off and all is fine.... We have five hens, four of them have roster like combs.. .LOL
