So I have two 6 week old chicks that were hatched as part of a chicken incubation class, the eggs were donated by people who had fertilized eggs from their flock, and I don't know what sex they are. The white one is a silkie, red sex link mix, and the brown one has unknown parents.[IMG]

Usually I'd say it's a bit young to be sure, but I'd say you've got one cockerel (white) and one pullet (brown).

One of each, white one is a cockerel, dark one is a pullet.

If your just wanting them for eggs you don't need a rooster.

space is more important than hens. If they have plenty of room to call their own they'll be fine "they'll still fight some". If they are in a small coop they will fight alot.
