We were told these were golden sex link and female. I have my doubts because I realize it is hard to tell. What do you think? I love the lil red stripey one. According to pics I saw they look like one a golden sex link and the other a rhode island or red sex link (the darker one). I could be wrong I have only had chicks for a week. [IMG]

The red one looks like our red-sex link and will be female if that's the case. The white one though, would be male if it's a Red Star. Only the female chicks are red, the males are white.

Could the lighter one be a golden sex link and still be a hen it has sprouted a tail feather?

The white one looks more like a cornish x to me.

A cornish X is a hybrid meat bird. Grows fast, tastes good [IMG].

Are there any females breeds that are white like this chick with yellowish tint? I don't what this feed carries exactly and my friend picked them up for us.
We would are not raising chickens for meat and we are not allowed to have a rooster in our city. I really appreciate the help.

ps. Just called the fees store and they confirmed cornish X. Not sure if male or female is cornish x suppose to be female or are they a straight run? Oh well they said they will take the X back for a female egg layer. Now the other female is lonely waiting for new companion.
