Hello everyone,
A few months ago I got my baby western galah, GaGah.
He (Or she?!) is very tame and friendly. Well, I bought
some bird pellets for him and he loves them. I was wondering
if it is safe to feed him chook laying pellets?

Thanks,
Chikees123 :)

I would not feed him anything other than parrot pellet diet. Chickens and parrots have very different nutritional needs. It is just not worth the risk. Also, don't forget to supplement your bird's diet with lots of healthy fruits and vegetables too, and they can have a small number of nuts each day. Nuts are high in fat though so they should be limited carefully

Laying pellets are have high calcium from chickens that lay eggs every day. I do not know the nutritional needs of a parrots but too much calcium can cause kidney failure. I would not risk it.
