Hello! So I have a rooster with a frost bitten comb, and I just applied triple antibiotic ointment to it. One of my hens started trying to eat it- should I separate them? Or will it be okay? I have the same worries for the Vaseline, can they eat it? Thanks!

It wont hurt them. Normally it melts and sometimes the bird will shake its head or wipe its beak on the ground to get rid of whatever it was. This is typical with pastes as well. Even if they manage to swallow some, the small quantity will have no adverse internal effects whatsoever.

Okay, that's a relief. Thank you!
