can dogs catch any diseases or parasites from chickens?

My dog has developed a taste for the "chicken patties" I track outside of the coop after I've stepped inside. And she's had the runs the last couple of days . . . but I have no idea if the two things are related. We just had her checkup at the vet a couple of weeks ago and everything was fine . . . any thoughts?

They can get worms that chickens carry as long as you worm your chickens they should be fine.

BOth my dogs are just fine and they like eating chicken poo every minute of every waking hour!

So far so good and it's been a year. They have both been tested too.

I haven't wormed the chickens yet - only had them 6 months. How do I know if they have worms?

Look in the poo for wiggling (aren't you sorry you asked).

well, so far I've seen nothing squiggly in their poos. I'll keep my fingers crossed that her taste for chicken poo is not doing her any harm.
