Can I add lime under sand in the run?

    We are finishing out the chores to get the girls ready for winter, putting sand on top of the dirt was the last thing we have to do. We heard this lime at the feed store is what people do for odor control so we need to know if it's safe to go under the sand to deodorize the dirt .

    Is it Ag lime or Hydrated lime? Hydrated lime will kill them....

    Ok, well ag lime . I believe I can get it at local murdocks . Can this go under sand ?
