Can I feather sex these chicks?

    I just hatched out some chicks. They are from a RIR hen and a Barred Rock roo. I was wondering if I could feather sex them, and if not what the best method to sex them would be.

    Nope, according to the online genetics calculator, 100% of the chicks will be barred.

    Okay. I'm going to make a guess based on the size of the white spot on their heads and the color of their legs.. Since they look just like BR chicks. It proved to be pretty accurate last time I had purebred BR chicks. It looks like I have either 1 male and 4 females or 2 males and 3 females. One I am iffy about, but I got majority females (as far as i can tell). [​IMG]

    You can only feather sex chicks as day olds after they fluff out of the bator. after a day it's not reliable.
