Can i feed my chickens pickeled beets?

    i made pickeled eggs today, and i used the beet juice for the eggs..so, now i have 4 cans of pickeled beets w/out juice to use up...can my chickens eat them?(because i surely wont touch them...[​IMG].)..i was wondering if the vinegar in them would be kinda like the vinegar some people put in their wateres?..thanks, Wendy

    I have given my birds pickled beets and onions and no one dropped dead.

    This was something learned in my "Gardening for Chickens" this year: they really like cooked beets. Raw beets were a hard sell with the pullets.

    Pickled beets aren't just cooked. I'd guess they'd like 'em. I always have a little trouble with the flavor of the cloves . . . but that's me [​IMG].
