When I went shopping for feed, I grabbed the first bag I saw. After feeding it to my chicks, I noticed it says game bird starter. My babies are 4 days old. Is it okay to continue feeding it?

It's fine. It's just a bit higher protein than chick starter, which isn't a bad thing at this stage.

A lot of people do. When I raise turkey poults with my chicks I feed that 24% for the first month or so, then cut back on the % protein. Normally I feed 20% protein Chick Starter when I don’t have turkeys in with them but since I do occasionally feed 24% I don’t see anything wrong with it.

If it bothers you get a 15% or 16% protein feed and mix it with that 24% to bring the average down. But if it were me, I’d just feed it.
