All my chicks are feathered out except the dark brahma chicks still have some fluff under their wings (down the center of their backs). The other chicks occasionally will peck at the fluff when their wings are just so, that they can see it. No skin has been broken.
I am thinking of keeping the darks in the brooder for an extra few days, maybe a week, after everyone else goes to the coop. I want to give them time to feather out in that area. Will I then be able to add them to the coop without trouble or should I just send them all to the coop at the same time? From observing them I've noticed that the darks are all pretty low in the pecking order, except for the dark roo. He forced his way to the top.
