Can lice or mites cause sneezing!

    Can lice or mites cause sneezing? My black Ameraucana just started doing high pitched sneezing and i looked at her and discovered that she has either lice or mites! Can this cause sneezing?

    Please help!

    I dont know if external parasites can cause sneezing, never seen it happen. However, they can weaken the birds immune system to the point that the bird can easily get a respiratory disease as well as other problems. This might be the possible onset of a problem you're dealing with.

    It could be something environmental; feed dust, ammonia fumes from soiled bedding, pollen etc....
