Hello All. My husband bought a 50 lb bag of non-medicated chick starter & while I know I need to add more niacin for the ducklings, I'm wondering if there is anything else (vitamins, minerals, protein sources...etc...) can add to it for use with my 3 goslings?

I'd try to exchange it for the right stuff if possible. How much protein in the chick starter? 22% is the preferred minimum, below 20% is not recommended.

A reputable link to nutritional requirements for ducks and geese..

I usually use Purina Flock raiser.. I contacted the company since niacin content isn't required by law to be listed on the bag nor is it.. the amount was 55mg/kg.. so appropriate for most (excluding jumbo Pekin). But you can always contact the company to get a copy of the full analysis if there is any item your in question about.
