I have been looking to keep my pigeons in for the winter, but the only place i have for them is in the Quail aviary. Has anyone kept them together with success?

I know they eat different foods and I can set up a feeder up off the ground for the pigeons and a creep feeder idea for the quail.

I only have one pair that I want to put in there with the quail. A pair of White Komorners.

Pigeons is one of the few birds that would be 'safe' to keep quail with, they are usually not aggressive and being softbills they can't do much damage to the quail if they do have a 'spat'.
The quail will clean up any spilled feed that the pigeons leave, so it's a win-win situation [IMG]

X3 [IMG]. I have kept the occasional pigeon and dove with my quail before and never had any problems with them.

We used to have a fairly large flight pen (20' X 30') and had several pigeons, doves and quail in it. It did have several cover areas and lots of old grape vines but we never had any problems.

Good to know. My whites pretty filthy from being out in the muddy winter coastal weather.
