    Hi,
I am new to this site and have tried to search for websites that will let me know the exact codes and zoning and everything for my city and state. I can't seem to find the information. I assumed some of you who have been on this site helping people look up their codes for years would be able to find me links to my laws much quicker than I can.[IMG]
I have had poutlry before in town, and I know of others who actualy sell eggs in town....also there is a large egg farm right on the edge of the city, it was actualy accross the street from Walmart until our Walmart built a super center on the other end of town. There is still an Applebees and Payless and stuff right across the highway from the egg farm. Also the private individual who sells eggs has out door pens, with roosters, and lives right intown on a busy street that is actualy a highway after you leave city limits-so not like they are hiding in a back alley. I know there use to be a few people on the north side that actualy had chickens running around the yard...may or may not have been a fence. So with all of this info, I couldn't imagine there being any laws against it-atleast nothing that is enforced....but figure w/ my luck, if there are laws against it, I am sure to be found out. I had lived on the edge of town, but moved down town right off of our Center and Main streets which is near the historical district and downtown shopping area. I do have a fenced in back yard, but still people will notice eventualy.
I bought 6 chicks yesterday and plan to get a duckling Monday. They will be pets and egg layers just for personal use, friends and family-no plans to sell. I got straight runs though so will be selling off the roosters if we have any. I just want to know if I am breaking any laws, life will be much easier if I am not!

I've been to my county's municipal website, it's just a list pf phone numbers. I would rather not call anyone drawing attention to people who keep poultry. Was hoping to find info on line. It's always hard finding any info for our city/county on line.
