I just posted about some Easter Egg layers but thought this gal warranted a separate post. My wife bought her as a chick about 4 months ago, but didn't write down the breed. Can someone tell me the species. She's beautiful. We call her "Snowy" for obvious reasons.

By the way, that's a Plymouth Rock behind her. Also a beautiful breed in my not so humble opinion!

Also an Easter Egger, and I'd guess its a cockerel.

X3 on EE, but I'm actually leaning towards pullet. [IMG] Such a gorgeous bird!

    Thanks everyone!

Alex, I sure hope you are right and it's a female. Getting not 1 but 2 males (see my other post) given that they were picked from "Sexed runs" where the probability is 90% of getting a female would be bad luck!

We got 4 chickens. By my calculations the probability of getting 4 females is (.9)^4 or 65%. That is there is a 35% probability of having 1 or more males. So, two males would be bad luck!

    Thanks,

    Dave

I'm leaning toward pullet, also. :) Looks very similar to mine that just started laying.

Definitely an Easter Egger, another month will make the sex obvious to determine.

At four months, I'd say that's an EE pullet
