Can someone identify this breed?

    i just put your guess into google images and the pics look exactly my girls. Thank you so much! These are very smart birds compared to others I've had, but not as sweet tempered. Thanks again!! The expertise on this forum is so impressive.

    any guess on breed? i know he's not a RI-red. maybe buckeye?

    he's about four months old. reddish/black feathers with some silvery ones on back. kinda shy personality. hearty eater and very nice to the hens.

    this roo is about 3-4 months old with a greyish-white "stripe" on his back....feathers are blackish red.
