My daughter found her pet polish chicken dead today with its head missing! She is devasted! Is this a weasel doing this? Can you give me any advice or share if this has happened to you? Thank you so much!

coons do that alot.could you give more info where was it what time of day was it.you can put flour on a board out side the coop to see what it is by the track.

I'm so sorry that happened! Weasels also like to make rounds during the day too. I had to use hex netting or 1/2" mesh to keep them out. They dig, so bury 4-6" also. Trapping and relocation doesn't work since they have a 25 mile range, and it's illegal. I had a persistent mink that kept returning until it figured it gave up.

FYI: I worked at a wildlife center, and something took all the heads off our Canada goslings. The local Great horned Owls were the culprits. Cover everything with mesh all over!
