Can someone post some pictures of their ribbon winning Barred Rocks?

Discussion in 'General breed discussions & FAQ' started by teddiliza, Apr 25, 2008.

  1. I know mine are pets, but I'm interested in getting an idea if I ever get serious.....I have two that are just beautiful, but they look more 'cuckoo' than barred.

    Thanks.

Standards and bantams tend to look a bit different, but here are some of my bantam barred rocks. [IMG]

Quote:[IMG] Thank you so much. They are great, hardy show birds and full of personality. Plus they lay great, all the girls lay every day. We can't sell them fast enough!

These aren't mine, but they were shown last weekend.

I've only ever seen good barring on bantams, never standards, at a show. So, if by ribbon winning, you mean red or white ribbon I could send you photos of mine. [IMG]

The birds that lilpeeps posted are way better than mine, I'd DIE for those! The hard part is getting a good tail even after you've got good barring, those girls have it down pat! *drools*

I've seen some nice standard barred rocks, absolutely beautiful birds!

Quote:I've only seen 2 nice large barred rocks that had as nice and crisp straight barring as you see on the bantams. They were amazing.
