I have a mama duck and two, two week old scovy ducklings in a pen together. I really need to put some stall dry down, as they have really mucked up the pen and it is starting to stink pretty bad. Can stall dry be used with ducklings this young or will they try and eat it?

Thanks.
Kathy

Hi Kathy,
I am a firm believer in Stall Dry lol. I use it for literally everything. Horses, dogs, cats, and yes my Scovy Babies! I don't know what kind of pen you use but where I have mine, I put stall dry down and then cover it with a little straw, hay or wood shavings. I have never had any issues with it and my babies and mama have pecked at it the odd time. Never had any issues. If you can't cover it up, I would only sprinkle a light dusting of it into the pen, while the babies are not in it.
Can you hose out the pen at all? Normally I put my guys inside at night and I hose down the pen...eventhough it is grass, just to get rid of some of the poop, then I sprinkle some Stall Dry and it is nice and fresh by the morning!
Let me know how it goes!
Cheers,
Allie
