I want to keep the chicks outside tonight (first time)
We keep them outside all day long, and have been bringing them in at night because the coop wasnt fully secure yet.
It's now secure ...

My question(s):

-Do i not put any food or water in the coop? I have seen some posts saying they don't keep any in there, but i am pretty certain my chicks still wat and drink throughout the night, or at least the early morning before i get to them.
They will be 8 weeks on Sunday.

-Temps drop to about 13°C (53°F) overnight. Is it still too cold?
Day time temps run between 16-24°C (60-77°F)

Thanks!!

I don't have food or water available overnight for my chicks from the time they're about 4 weeks old and up. They will not eat or drink at night as long as the coop is dark. What time do you get up in the morning to let them out of the coop? I use an auto door and it's always set to 7:45 AM, and the chickens hold out just fine until that time.

And no it's not too cold, especially with how feathered out they are.
